As many of you are aware, the Northeast got hit with a massive blizzard yesterday that dropped about two feet of snow on Boston. We stayed cooped up inside for most of the day as we watched the snow falling over our neighborhood from our loft windows. There is something so peaceful about snow.
Once the snowfall slowed down, we decided it was time to venture out into the streets and see the big piles the storm had created. It felt like the North End had been converted into a big playground! Everyone was out walking around leisurely in the middle of the street without the threat of a car running you over. There were groups sledding, building snowmen, and climbing the large corner mounds. We just enjoyed stomping and jumping around in one of our favorite spots, Copp's Hill Terrace. It was nice to feel like kids again!
